Career in Los Angeles

It is fundamental to who I am to give back to our community. I was chosen to be a commissioner for the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture in March 2022, and I recently completed a term as the organization’s chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I have happily served on the NAACP Image Awards nominating committee and as a judge for the Imagen Awards and the NAMIC Vision Awards because I believe in the value of representation in media. As a volunteer with area nonprofits like the Cartel Foundation and Youth Mentoring Connection, I also get a lot of satisfaction from supporting young people.
